In Germany, football is the most popular sport. Football is in the focus whenever you open a newspaper. There are millions of football photos. The bigger the event, the more photographers can be expected on-site. They sit close to each other, making it a challenge to shoot the picture that makes the difference. You have to be highly focused all the time. Sometimes it’s the correct choice of the lens you use, sometimes it’s foreseeing the situation ahead that makes the difference. It's the variations of light and shade, and sometimes it's just luck. It’s rewarding to work for clients such as FIFA, UEFA, DFB, the German Football Association and DFL, the Bundesliga. These clients grant me the opportunity to work behind the scenes of a football game.
